The Vienna Way Residence by Marmol Radziner Architecture Studio

Designed by Los Angeles based architect Marmol Radziner Architecture Studio, The Vienna Way residence was designed for a young family located on a large, extensively landscaped lot in Venice, CA. Floor to ceiling glazing and outdoor living spaces fully integrate the home within the California native landscape. The Vienna Way Residence reveals 4,100 sq. ft. of pure design mastership. This vienna way residence is the best example for indoor-outdoor living, it manages to maintain privacy from nearby homes, showing only plaster elevations varied with clerestory windows.

The one-story structure to the south houses a great room that combines formal living and dining areas. The structure begins in the front of the property and flows into an outdoor dining patio. A large expanse of glass along the east provides a visual and spatial link to the pool area. The northern structure runs from the back of the property forward, also leading to an outdoor living area, and contains more casual, private spaces, including a family room and an office on the first floor and bedrooms on the second floor.

The kitchen acts as the hub of the residence, connecting the public and private areas and providing views of the pool, side yard and rear property. A pair of outdoor rooms and outdoor fireplaces comes as a natural extension of the indoor spaces and offers the pleasure of eating and relaxing outdoors with the comfort of the indoors.

Contemporary Arizona Living at The Yerger Residence by Chen Suchart Studio

This contemporary Arizona living is called The Yerger Residence and in case you don’t know Arizona, well it’s located in Phoenix, and if you still don’t know then you can go and check on google map. This contemporary residence comes from Chen + Suchart Studio. The architect developed the eastern side of this contemporary house to bring the loveliest vistas for the owners that they can’t even forget. From outside it’s definitely doesn’t resemble like a family home, in fact it looks like a square building or perhaps a getaway office or something. Like any other contemporary home design, this residence features generous windows to bring sun shine inside and of course not to forget that it also has some amazing interior design elements.

The architects stated that the main living space of the house uses open plan configuration and borrows Camelback Mountain and brings it into this space. The relationship of the vista and the house the maintained using slide sliding glass doors to give a clear view. This house features two guest bedrooms, a pool, a view, open floor concept, bathroom and closet spaces along the west elevation.

Passive Solar House in A Contemporary House Design at Texas by Dick Clark Architecture

It was eventually Dick Clark who designed this beautiful contemporary home and it’s not just contemporary. This house designed with a sustainable passive solar located in Austin, Texas with a minimalist appeal. This urban home design is reflecting the owners’ simple lifestyle. Simple structures are used, with minimalist palette and with see through glass walls. The surrounding of this contemporary house matches evenly with the surrounding where it creates some sort of urban oasis and become the main attraction. The concept of the main floor houses at this passive solar house is an open concept with kitchen open to a two storey living and dining area.

The architect didn’t forget to blend in the interior with the exterior part of the house by using natural wood and big windows in order to get the home sun soaked. Most contemporary houses aren’t friendly, but not with this solar passive house design. This eco friendly house features a 3 kilo watt panel system, bio foam insulation, rain water system usage, instant hot water heaters, expansive glass already with a low-e and efficient mechanical systems.
