It was designed 65 years a go and never been in production until now. Canapo is rocking chair designed by the Italian architect and urbanist Franco albini in 1945 that had never put into production. The drawings of the Canapo rocking chair are stored in the archives of the Fondazione Franco Albini. Thanks of Cassina’s faithful reproduction that took the original chair’s sketches and put this aesthetic piece of design culture into mass production
Canapo is fully expresses the quest for balance in Franco Albini’s work and opens it up perfectly to serial production in complete harmony with Cassina.
